Dear Sir or Madam,
dear colleagues,
dear hand therapists,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 64th Symposium of the German-speaking Association for Hand Surgery (DAH) from May 8th to 10th, 2025 in Berlin, Germany.

The federal capital, Berlin, is distinguished not only as a center of culture and diversity, but also as Germany's scientific metropolis. The southwest of Berlin, with its decades-long history of life sciences development (since 1912, the Kaiser Wilhelm Institutes for Chemistry and Physical Chemistry – forerunners of today's Max Planck Institutes; the Harnack House, the conference center of the Max Planck Society; and, since 1948, the Free University of Berlin), has developed into the "German Oxford" and an excellent German scientific center with international appeal.

Accordingly, it is obvious that the conference venue of the Max Planck Society – the Harnack House – will provide the appropriate setting for our 2025 annual meeting.

The core scientific topics of the 64th DAH Symposium will be, in addition to current osteosynthesis concepts for fractures of the hand and wrist, rheumatic surgery and endoprosthetics in the hand area, with particular attention being given to the questions of the necessity of the therapies, but also their financing, taking into account the current developments in European health systems.

We are already looking forward to three exciting days in the beautiful southwest of Berlin, where we will not only exchange medical and scientific ideas but also have personal and friendly conversations.

Sincerely, your Conference Presidents DAH 2025,

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Eisenschenk, em.
Priv.-Doz. Dr. Martin Lautenbach,
Prof. Dr. Mohssen Hakimi,
Scientific Director 2025
