Digital health innovations can be the solution to reduce costs and improve the access and quality of healthcare in Africa. Stakeholders are developing sustainable and workable solutions to improve health outcomes in many African countries. These innovations have the power to significantly improve taccess, safety, quality, information exchange and efficiency within health systems.

Digital health technology is providing key support in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa by providing essential tracing, tracking, testing and training support to the stakeholders involved. The current pandemic shows the important role that technology can play in flattening the curve across Africa.

The first session of the AHBS webinar series, themed "Partnerships for COVID-19" will emphasize on the importance of Digital Health in this new era. Speakers in this session will showcase digital health innovations to flatten the COVID-19 curve in Africa, the lessons learnt, and the opportunities envisaged.

Session Objectives:

1. Share examples of what’s going in Africa in the field digital health innovation and Covid-19.

2. Promote partnerships thinking to further accelerate the impact of digital health innovation and curbing the spread of Covid-19 in Africa.

3. Change thinking of public sector towards an enabling environment for digital health solutions.

In addition to the 5 sessions, we will have 2 high level invite only roundtable sessions on 15th and 29th July. Book your Fridays from 17th July to 14th August for these exemplary sessions.
