Climate
Santiago has a mediterranean climate with dry warm summers and mild winters.
The month of October is characterized by rising daily high temperatures, with daily highs increasing from 20°C to 24°C over the course of the month, exceeding 28°C or dropping below 15°C only one day in ten.
Throughout October, the most common forms of precipitation are drizzle, moderate rain, and light rain.
How to get to Santiago
Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport, also known as Pudahuel, is the hub for all national and international flights. Located 20km from Santiago downtown; it is the country’s nerve center for international air transport, receiving flights from all over the world.
Private taxis are available 24 hours a day. Approximate cost is US$30 per taxi to the city center.

Official Language
The official language of the Conference will be English and all presentations will be made in English.
Simultaneous translation to Spanish will be available for all those that request it in advance.
Personal Insurance
The meeting organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to meeting participants, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your own insurance.
Visa requirements
Visa regulations depend on nationality and country of origin. Please contact your local Embassy/Consulate for full and official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that apply to you. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

Visa Invitation Letters
Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries can be sent to participants by the Secretariat. Should you require an invitation please contact us.
It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee or Meeting Organizer to provide any financial assistance. If you require an original letter, it is recommended that you send your request 3 months in advance to account for delivery by post and administrative time.
