Mediterranean Cardiology Meeting 2021

It is with pleasure that I would like to invite you to the 10th edition of the Mediterranean Cardiology Meeting (MCM), which will be held from 3 to 5 July 2021 in Catania .

Our latest edition recorded over 1200 participants, with a large international presence, which confirmed the very high interest aroused by this biennial event, now in two languages: Italian and English for some years now.

A highly respected Faculty, selected from among the leading experts in the sector, will guarantee a training profile of the highest quality, with new interactive scientific programs and unpublished cultural events, with invited joint sessions: American College of Cardiology, Chapters of the American College of Cardiology, Scientific Societies of Cardiology and General Medicine.

Through the consolidated multidisciplinary format based on: Courses, Symposia, Debates on controversial topics, Clinical Seminars, Luncheon Panels, Focus on, Practical Sessions with Experts, Interactive Sessions for Reviewing Clinical Cases between participants and faculty, Interactive Sessions, Exchange Sessions Intercultural between foreign countries, Abstract Sessions and Poster Sessions, this Meeting will highlight the state of the art and the prospective development possibilities for the treatment of: Atrial Fibrillation, Sudden Cardiac Death, Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndromes, Chronic Ischemic Heart Disease , Global Cardiovascular Prevention, Arterial Hypertension, Syncope, Congenital Heart Diseases, Pharmacological Therapy of Cardiovascular Diseases, Cardiac Monitoring and Genetic Technologies.

Big news are the CARDIOCONTEST sessions with Virtual Clinical simulators and Virtual ECHO sessions, with which participants will be able to practice, demonstrating competence and decision-making skills by solving interactive clinical cases with the aid of an interactive Body Interact table and real medical records, as well as to practice by performing transthoracic, transesophageal echocardiograms and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures and advanced coronary intervention.

Cardiologists, internists, emergency room doctors, general practitioners, nurses and technicians will find this and much more, because for years MCM has guaranteed a valuable update on Clinical and Interventional Cardiology .

Catania, one of the most famous cities in the entire Mediterranean area from both a historical and cultural point of view, is the ideal setting to host this meeting. A particularly lively and fascinating city, full of wonderful examples of Sicilian Baroque, the Etna capital is also one of the most important economic and university training centers on the island, as well as being a fundamental hub for the technology industry. This splendid city, full of colors, scents and aromas, is suspended between the intense blue of the Ionian Sea and the majestic silhouette of the Etna volcano, which dominates it in the distance.
