COURSE INFORMATION


This course is aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists interested in Interventional Radiology. It is strictly adhered to Level II of the European Training Curriculum and it aims at providing fundamentals of Interventional Radiology, including non-invasive imaging for treatment decision and planning and knowledge of IR infrastructure and devices. Furthermore, basic information about arterial access and vascular closure, as well as about vascular interventions will be provided. The course includes six topics consisting of 40 minutes of theory and case presentations followed by a live Q&A section after each session for interaction with the faculty members.

  • To learn about non-invasive imaging techniques for treatment decision and planning
  • To become familiar with IR infrastructure and devices
  • To learn about arterial access and vascular closure
  • To become familiar with different treatment techniques applied in vascular interventional Radiology
