The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Cook is responsible for preparing patient cafeteria and catered event meals while following procedures and standards set forth by the department and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years recent work experience in a healthcare environment (education in Nutritional coursework or restaurant experience as a cook may be accepted in lieu of experience)
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets food cooking techniques
  • Strong customer service skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or Bachelors degree in related field
  • Serve Safe Certification and/or culinary certificate


Pay Range

$29.08 - $32.51 /hour
