Dr Mohammad Al Redha delivers keynote address on big data benefits on local public health policies

Dr Mohammad Al Redha, Director, Health Data & Information Analysis Department, Health Policy & Strategy Sector, Non-Resident Fellow - Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, Dubai Health Authority, spoke today about the benefits of Big Data for Public Health Policy. In his speech at the Big Data Conference at Arab Health, Dr Al Redha highlighted the huge benefits for big data in policy making, while noting the need to be careful in identifying quality data and effectively communicating findings to the wider community.
 
Dr Al Redha noted the use of big data for the prevention and management of infectious diseases, including identifying the geographical starting point and spread path of the disease. Big data can be economically impactful, security impactful and can result in effective decision-making. The UAE is now at a stage where there is vast amount of available data, which needs to be simplified in order to be utilized for data-based policy making. 
 
Orange business services showcases e-healthcare solutions for the Middle East for the first time
 
Orange Business Services, the global business-to-business arm of Orange, through its Orange Healthcare expertise, presented the company’s integrated ICT solutions for the region’s healthcare sector for the first time at Arab Health 2015.
